– Musix, the Israeli digital music subscription service operated by Pelephone
Communications, has licensed Universal Music Group tracks for inclusion on the
service, Billboard reports. The service now offers half a million tracks,
50,000 of which are native Israeli acts. Musix tells Billboard the service,
which costs about $5.20 a month for unlimited tethered downloads, currently
counts 90,000 subscribers.
