San Jose, Calif. – Mirics, a developer of technology that
delivers TV broadcasts to portable computing and communications devices, said
on Tuesday that it has raised $13 million in a new round of funding.

Participants included previous investors Acacia Capital Partners, Intel Capital
and Pond Ventures.

The San Jose, Calif.-based company plans to use the proceeds
to increase market share for its FlexiTV platform for notebooks, netbooks and
desktop PCs.

"This investment will enable us to further capitalize on the
current industry demand for broadcast-enabled consumer devices," said CEO
Simon Atkinson.
