Karlsruhe, Germany – German online game publisher Gameforge
said on Wednesday that it will purchase 60% of the shares of fellow game
publisher Frogster Interactive Pictures.
Gameforge will pay about $33 per share,
or $85 million for Frogster, which it says is a 25.4% premium on the average price
of Frogster’s shares over a three-month period.
Berlin-based Frogster develops
massively multiplayer online games and generated revenues of $18.4 million in
2009.
