Atlanta – Cox Communications, the nation’s third-largest
cable TV provider, said on Thursday that it has partnered with TiVo, and will
offer TiVo Premiere with integrated Cox On Demand service to Cox subscribers.
Cox will provide free installation of TiVo Premiere boxes for its subscribers.
The deal represents the first time a cable provider will make its entire VOD
library available via a retail DVR.
