Mountain View, Calif. – Google (NASD: GOOG) is searching for an executive
to run its forthcoming music service, and has talked to several digital media
executives about the position, All Things D reported, citing sources.
News of
the search follows Google’s recent hiring of veteran music licensing attorney Elizabeth
Moody.
Google has not provided many hints about its music service; in May, it
said it was developing a music store that would let Android mobile device
owners purchase songs and sync them to their smartphones.
