Palo Alto, Calif. – Inflection, a people search engine that
uses public records, has raised $30 million in its first round of venture
capital financing, PEHub.com reported.

Matrix Partners led the investment
round; Sutter Hill Ventures also participated.

Palo Alto, Calif.-based
Inflection was founded four years ago by brothers Brian and Andrew Monahan.

The
company operates Archives, a family history website, and PeopleSmart, its
search engine for people.
