Los Angeles – Redbox, the unit of Coinstar (NASD: CSTR) that operates a
network of automated DVD rental kiosks, announced that it hit 1 billion rentals
to consumers over the holiday weekend. As part of a "Thanks a
Billion" promotion, the company is offering a free one-night DVD rental to
customers during the month of September.
