San Francisco – Video-sharing site Metacafe announced on
Thursday that it has acquired Action Sports, the parent company of action
sports video site Go211.com.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Metacafe will add Go211’s catalog of action sports videos, and utilize the
company’s live webcasting technology and production team to introduce more
original content to its movies, games, TV and music hubs.
The company said
that, with the addition of Go211, it will reach nearly 17.5 million unique
monthly visitors.
