Los Angeles – Mulve, a free music download service that has been compared to the original Napster, has received a Digital Millennium
Copyright Act takedown request from the Recording Industry Association of
America (RIAA), TorrentFreak reported. While the site itself hosts no content
— songs are reportedly stored on overseas servers — the RIAA targeted a part
of the site operated by U.S.-based Hostgator. TorrentFreak reports that the
site was downed temporarily but is now back online.
