London – Veebeam, the developer of a wireless video transfer
device and complementary software, has raised the first tranche of a $6
million, second round of venture capital financing, PaidContent reported.
Amadeus Capital Partners, Intel Capital and Oak Investment Partners led the
investment round; Bay Partners, Formative Ventures, Khosla Ventures and Vision
Capital also participated.
U.K.-based Veebeam was founded in September, the
result of a 2008 merger between Staccato Communications and Artimi.
The
company’s $99 Veebeam can wirelessly transmit video from a computer to a
television.
