Palo Alto, Calif. – Smartphone maker Palm, now a unit of HP (NYSE: HPQ),
on Tuesday introduced the Palm Pre 2 smartphone, along with the latest version
of its mobile operating system, HP webOS 2.0. The Palm Pre 2 will first go on
sale on Friday in France via SFR, and is slated to become available in the U.S.
from Verizon in coming months.
