San Francisco – Gazillion Entertainment, a developer and
publisher of massively multiplayer online games, has raised $60 million in new
funding, led by Singapore’s Temasek Holdings.
Other backers include Oak
Investments, Hearst Corporation, Revolution Ventures, Pelion Ventures and the
Abu Dhabi Media Company.
San Mateo, Calif.-based Gazillion’s NetDevil studio
published "LEGO Universe," a multiplayer game based on the building
blocks property.
In the first quarter, Gazillion launched "Super Hero Squad
Online," the first title under its ten-year exclusive deal with Marvel
Entertainment.
