New York – The Digital Data Exchange (DDEX), a consortium of
media firms, music licensing organizations and digital service providers
working on a single standard for identifying digital content, said this week
that 18 companies have announced plans to adopt DDEX standards. They include
major labels EMI, Sony Music and Warner Music, along with the Harry Fox Agency,
Nokia, The Orchard, PRS for Music, Rhapsody, and a number of foreign rights
collecting societies.
