Taipei, Taiwan – Apple’s (NASD:  AAPL) manufacturing partners in China
will begin shipments of Apple’s second-generation iPad as soon as the end of
February 2011, DigiTimes reported, citing sources at Taiwan-based component
makers.

The initial shipment of 400,000 to 600,000 units is slated to ship
within the next 100 days, although other sources told DigiTimes Apple may wait until
April to launch the second-generation iPad.

Apple sold 7.5 million iPads in the
first nine months of 2010.
