San Francisco – Motorola (NYSE:  MOT) plans to release a new tablet
computer that will run Google’s (NASD:  GOOG) Android operating system, CNET News.com
reported.

Google’s Andy Rubin displayed a prototype of the tablet — which
featured a 3D version of Google Maps — at an event in San Francisco.

The
as-yet-unnamed Motorola Android tablet is expected to be released some time next
year.
