Agoura Hills, Calif. – Video game publisher THQ (NASD: THQI) said on
Monday that it has signed a multi-year deal with writer/director Guillermo del
Toro ("Pan’s Labyrinth," "Hellboy"), to create an original
trilogy of video game titles. The "inSANE" franchise, to be developed
by THQ’s Volition studio, is expected to launch in 2013, with THQ holding IP
rights to the games while del Toro will own rights to any filmed products.
