San Francisco – Crowd Factory, a provider of social
marketing applications, has closed a new $6.5 million venture capital financing
round, led by new investor Storm Ventures.

Existing investors Hummer Winblad,
Peninsula Ventures and several angels also participated.

Founded in 2009, San
Francisco-based Crowd Factory counts HBO, Sony and Universal McCann among
customers of its products, which help companies embed social elements in any
marketing messages.

The company will use the new funds to support development
and marketing of its social marketing applications.
