San Francisco – Federated Media Publishing, a San
Francisco-based digital media firm that helps companies market their brands
through web sites, blogs and social networking applications, said on Wednesday
founder John Battelle will step down in a transition the company said has been
in the works for more than a year. Battelle will become executive chairman and
chief strategy officer, with Deanna Brown, the company’s current president and
COO, adding CEO to her responsibilities.
