Ware, U.K. – ipadio, the provider of a service that lets
users upload audio via voice rather than mobile data channels, has raised $1.6
million in new financing, TechCrunch reported.
Investors include the London
Business Angels Network, parent company Nemisys and the U.K.’s Enterprise Finance
Guarantee.
Founded in 2009, Ware, U.K.-based ipadio’s "phonecasting"
service is focused more on the enterprise market, where it can be used to
communicate with employees in the field.
Customers include Virgin Media, Oxfam
and the Vodafone Foundation.
The company will put the new funds towards
additional product development.
