McLean, Va. – USA Today on Monday announced the first-ever
tie in the 23-year history of its Super Bowl Ad Meter, in which volunteers
rated every ad from Sunday’s broadcast on Fox. A fourth-quarter Bud Light ad
featuring a dog sitter who puts dogs to work tied with a first-quarter Doritos
ad, in which a dog gets his revenge for Doritos teasing. Volunteers gave both
ads a score of 8.35 (on a scale of 0 to 10).

Other ads in the top five
included: Volkswagen ("Darth Vader" starts 2012 Passat), Frito-Lay
Doritos (House sitter brings back grandpa from the ashes) and Pepsi Max (Love
hurts with bad girlfriend).
