FastCompanyLos Angeles – Fast Company magazine announced its list of the "Top Ten in Music" as part of its upcoming issue on the "World’s Most innovative Companies 2011."

On the top of the list is Pandora, which just last week announced its plans to go public, followed by Coca-Cola, perhaps a surprising choice to many, but a recognition of the power and influence that brands will have in the future of the music industry.

No record labels made the list, which was primarily made up of companies who are providing services and products for the new digital music ecosystem.

Fast Company’s 10 Most Innovative Music Companies for 2011 are:

  • Pandora
  • Coca-Cola
  • BigChampagne
  • Arcade Fire
  • Terra.com
  • Hello Music
  • Converse
  • Sonos
  • Songbird
  • Weezer

DMW notes that virtually all of the companies are participants or sponsors at our upcoming 11th Annual Digital Music Forum, to be held in New York City next week.
