Chicago – Media Chaperone, the developer of a Facebook
application that monitors kids’ Internet gaming, said on Thursday that it has
received $1 million in venture capital, led by Leo Capital Holdings.

Chicago-based Media Chaperone was founded in
2009.

The company’s "Piggyback" Facebook
application offers parents the ability to monitor their children’s interactions
with online gaming environments, social networks and virtual worlds, and manage
expenditures, add credits and monitor behavior.

Media Chaperone will use the funds
to expand its infrastructure and for additional product development.
