Minneapolis, Minn. – 8thBridge, the developer of a social
commerce platform, announced on Monday that it has raised $10 million in its
second round of financing, led by Trident Capital.

Previous backer Split Rock
Partners also participated in the investment round for 8thBridge, which changed
its name from Alvenda in January.

Founded in 2008, Minnesota-based 8thBridge
develops online stores on Facebok and other social media sites for clients
including 1-800-Flowers.com, Lands’ End, Delta Air Lines and HauteLook.

The
company will use the funds to further develop its technology platform.
