San Jose, Calif. – Adobe Systems (NASD: ADBE) on Wednesday introduced the
Adobe Pass service, a "TV Everywhere" platform that gives pay-TV
providers the ability to offer subscribers authenticated viewing of their
programming online and via mobile devices.

The first customers for the service
are Time Warner’s (NYSE: TWX) Turner Broadcasting, and Viacom’s (NYSE: VIA) MTV Networks.

Adobe Pass
utilizes the company’s Flash video platform, which the company said allows
complete control by content owners, who can brand an Adobe Pass video player on
their own websites.

Adobe said it is also working with pay-TV providers
Comcast, DISH Network, Verizon FiOS and Cox to implement Adobe Pass.
