San Francisco – Marin Software, the provider of an online advertising
management platform for advertisers and agencies, announced on Wednesday that
it has closed a $16 million fifth round of funding, led by Crosslink Capital.
Previous backers Benchmark Capital, DAG Ventures, Focus Ventures and Triangle
Peak Partners also participated.
San Francisco-based Marin says its platform
powers marketing campaigns for over 800 customers managing more than $2 billion
in annualized ad budgets.
The company will use the funds support continued
international expansion, with plans to open offices in Singapore and Shanghai,
and expand into France, Australia and Brazil in 2011.
