Washington – The U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement’s
(ICE) Homeland Security Investigations has launched a new anti-piracy public
service announcement video, which it has posted on the domains of some of the
80 sites it recently seized for allegedly offering unauthorized copyrighted
or counterfeit media. The video targets users who might be searching for movies to download
illegally. "The public service announcement will help raise awareness that
American businesses, and American jobs, are threatened by those who pirate
copyrighted material and produce counterfeit trademarked goods," said ICE
Director John Morton.
