San Francisco – PowerReviews, a provider of customer reviews
technology to retail websites, has raised $10 million in a new round of
funding, led by Four Rivers Group, TechCrunch reported.

Other investors included
Woodside Fund, Menlo Ventures and Tenaya Capital.

Founded in 2007, San
Francisco-based PowerReviews provides a platform that retailers and brands
including ESPN and Staples use to aggregate and analyze consumers’ reviews of
their products and services.

The company’s Buzzillions.com also features more
than 15 million aggregated consumer-penned product reviews.

The company will
use the funds for further product development, and for sales efforts.
