San Francisco – JiWire, the provider of a location-based
mobile ad platform, has raised $20 million in new financing, led by Trident
Capital and Comcast Interactive Capital, TechCrunch reported.

Draper Fisher
Jurvetson, Panorama Capital and Norwest Venture Partners also participated.

San
Francisco-based JiWire provides a mobile ad network that covers 40 public Wi-Fi
networks, 30,000 venues and 60 airports, and says its network reaches 40
million consumers monthly.

The company will use the funds for further
technology development, acquisitions and international expansion.
