San Francisco – Eightfold Logic, the developer of a cloud-based, social writing application, said on Monday that it has raised $2 million in a third round of venture capital.
Previous backers including Rho Canada Ventures, Castile Ventures, Formative Ventures and Entrepreneurs’ Fund III participated.
San Francisco-based Eightfold also on Monday announced the launch of InboundWriter, its social writing app the company says makes its easy for writers and online content producers to create more relevant and shareable online content.
The app indexes the social Web in real-time, and provides recommendations about the best words and phrases to use. Eightfold will use the new funds to market its InboundWriter app.
