Venice, Calif. – Movieclips.com has raised $6 million in new funding, GigaOM reported, citing a regulatory filing.
The company, which declined to name the lead investor, most recently received $3 million in investments from backers including Shasta Ventures and First Round Capital.
Venice, Calif.-based Movieclips offers a licensed library of 14,000 movie clips from 1,400 films, which users can embed on third-party sites.
