London — Mind Candy, an online social games company and developer behind “Moshi Monsters” — a game site for kids — has been valued at $200 million.

Spark Ventures PLC, which sold half of its stake in “Moshi Monsters,” made the announcement on Friday. The child-focused game gained over 50 million registered players after its release in 2008.

Established in 2003 by Michael Acton Smith, the 70-person company is also known for other online games such as “Perplex City.” The company has plans to sell Moshi Monsters as physical toys in the future.
