Nielsen has analyzed which upcoming console games are the most anticipated from now until the end of 2012, and the list is promising even though it didn’t turn up any surprises.
“When we joined the Covenant, we took an oath.” If you recognize that line, you already know which title is the most anticipated game of 2012. Halo 4 claims that spot, as has every title in the Halo franchise before it, with a Nielsen Game Rank of 98 percent.
Nielsen derives its Nielsen Game Rank charts by combining eight key consumer metrics, including awareness and purchase interest, and compares those scores with the score results for all previous games released on the same platform.
The Halo blockbuster, which available exclusively on the Xbox 360, is followed fairly closely by Assassin’s Creed III (94 percent), Max Payne 3 (91 percent) and of course Madden NFL 13 (90 percent). The top 11 across all platforms are shown in the chart below, along with their scheduled release dates.

I’m a halo fan and proud of it. But i simply dont understand how the hell it has most anticipation against multiplatform titles.
I love console games!!! thanks for your post.
super game
We “finished the fight” with Chief in Halo 3. Now they’re bringing him back one more time. The only way Chief would be in Halo 5 is if there’s no complete resolution in Halo 4. Thank you for post
