Columbia, Md. – Internet Broadcasting Corp. (IBC), a Columbia-based Internet television startup that delivers video content to subscribers’ smartphones, tablets, computers and TVs, said it has raised an unspecified amount in its first round of funding.
Previous backer Silver Stone Capital and several DC-area angel investors participated in the round, which the company will use to help roll out its Vibble TV services, focused on the more than 3 million South Asians living in the U.S.
Vibble’s offering includes India’s Zee TV and 60 other channels, as well as more than 500 Bollywood movies on demand. Vibble TV also plans to roll out service to other ethnic markets later in the year.
