Tandem Capital, an accelerator that exclusively works with mobile startups, has closed a new $32 million fund.

Tandem said the investors bring strategic value along with their financial input. They include: Doug Bergeron (Verifone CEO), Dan Cooperman (former Apple general counsel), Ram Shriram (Google founding board member), Rick Thompson (Playdom founder), Dan Warmenhoven (NetApp board of directors chairman) and others.

The accelerator reports a 90 percent success rate with its portfolio companies, each of which receives $200,000 in funding along with workspace and the guidance of experts in all steps of their development.

Doug Renert and Sunil Bhargava co-founded Tandem in 2007. It selects just three new companies each quarter and works intensively with them for six months.

“Tandem’s accelerator program is highly selective and focuses on only a small group of truly exceptional teams,” Renert said. “This way, we can give founders what they need most: time and attention from our team and our entire network.”
