Arlington, Va. – The Arlington-based Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) said it will partner with the International Academy of Web Television (IAWTV) to launch an expanded awards program.

Under the deal, the CEA will produce the 2013 IAWTV Awards, scheduled for Jan. 8 in Las Vegas as part of the International CES.

The awards, voted on the by members of the IAWTV, honor and promote excellence in web television.

“The IAWTV Awards is an important new attraction for the content community since it celebrates all the great entertainment created for online audiences,” said Karen Chupka, the senior vice president of events and conferences at CES.
