New York – Music video portal Vevo on Wednesday debuted an
app for Apple’s (NASD: AAPL) iPhone and iPod touch that provides access to its entire
catalog of 20,000 music videos from more than 7,000 artists. The app lets users
create playlists, see popular local videos via a geo-location feature, and
access exclusive content. The free app will be supported via an exclusive
marketing and ad deal with AT&T (NYSE: T). Vevo is a joint venture between Sony (NYSE: SNE) Music,
Universal Music Group and Abu Dhabi Media Company.
