New York – Digg, the news aggregation and ranking service,
has named Matt Williams, formerly Amazon.com’s general manager of consumer
payments, as its new CEO, TechCrunch reported.
Williams will replace former CEO
and co-founder Jay Adelson, who stepped down in April after five years to
pursue other entrepreneurial opportunities.
Since then, Digg co-founder Kevin
Rose has been chairman and acting CEO.
TechCrunch reports that Rose will now
assume the role of chief architect at the company.
