London – Slicethepie, a fan-financed recordings service, on
Monday announced wide-ranging changes to its platform, which among other things
will now provide all artists with 100% of the proceeds from their fan-financed
recording.
The company completed a full conversion to using U.S. currency,
and now offers artists greater flexibility in the incentives they can offer
fans for their financial support.
Slicethepie also announced a partnership with
Universal Music Group’s Fontana Distribution.
Under the deal, Fontana will
recommend the best Slicethepie artists to its network of over 80 labels across
the U.S. on a monthly basis.
To qualify, artists must be in the act of raising
funding on Slicethepie.
"With over 5 million consumer reviews submitted to
