San Francisco – Flurry, the developer of a smartphone app
analytics, promotion and monetization platform, said on Tuesday it has raised
$15 million in its third round of funding.
Menlo Ventures led the round, which
also included participation from previous backers Draper Fisher Jurvetson,
InterWest, First Round Capital and Union Square Ventures.
The company, which
also raised $7 million in a round that closed in January, plans to use the
proceeds to expand the reach of its Flurry Analytics and AppCircle services
across mobile application platforms such as iOS and Android.
It also plans to
expand sales and marketing, as well as accelerate the development of new
services.
San Francisco-based Flurry’s platform is used by more than 35,000
companies.
In November, the company measured 5 billion end-user sessions from
more than 100 million unique devices.
