Austin, Texas – The first batch of free tracks from artists
set to appear at this year’s South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival in Austin
has been released in one 4.49GB file on the BitTorrent file-sharing network,
TorrentFreak reports. The MP3 files are all also available from the SXSW site,
but since 2008 volunteers have amassed them into a number of large files. This
first batch contains 792 songs; another batch is expected later this month or
in early March.
