New York
Viacom’s (NYSE: VIA) MTV and VH1 networks on Tuesday announced a partnership with
Foursquare, a provider of location-based social services. The networks will be
the first to launch a new Foursquare tool, Celebrity Mode, that lets users
‘follow’ celebrities. "Jersey
Shore’s DJ Pauly D will
be the first MTV celeb to use the new mode, and will provide "tips on the
best fist-pumping spots nationwide," the company said. Other programs to
utilize Foursquare will include "The Hills," "The City,"
"Real World: New Orleans,"
"The T.O. Show," "Fantasia for Real" and "What Chilli
Wants."
