San Francisco – Microsoft (NASD:  MSFT)
will introduce a pair of new mobile phone handset models at an event in San Francisco on April
12, CNET News.com reported, citing sources.

Part of the company’s ongoing
"Pink" project, the new phones — reportedly codenamed "Pure"
and "Turtle" — are slider-design phones that will run on Verizon’s
network and go on sale within a month.

The handsets are being manufactured by
Sharp, and will feature touch-screen displays as well as physical keyboards.
