Agency (HFA), a U.S.
music rights licensing organization, announced on Wednesday that its Songfile
online licensing service now supports ringtone licensing. The ringtone royalty
rate is 24 cents per copy. HFA separately announced a licensing deal with Ultimate
Guitar, an online guitar community and tablature website with 10 million
monthly visitors. Under the terms, the site can legally display lyrics and
offer tablature with download and printing capabilities.
