Redmond, Wash. – Microsoft (NASD: MSFT) has cancelled its "1 vs
100" live online game show on Xbox Live for the Xbox 360, after two
seasons. The company said more than 114,000 people simultaneously during the
beta season, and that the team that developed "1 vs 100" is working
on similar projects. "When we started on this journey, we knew we were
creating an entirely new genre of entertainment that would be a continually
evolving concept," said Dave McCarthy, general manager of Microsoft Game
Studios. "We’re very proud of the ‘1 vs 100’ team and their
accomplishments, and are excited to apply what we’ve learned to future programming."
