Beijing – China’s government-sanctioned Xinhua News Agency
announced on Thursday that it has partnered with mobile network operator China
Mobile to form a mobile search joint venture, the Associated Press reported.

Details on the service were scant, such as whether the search engine will focus
solely on the mobile market.

Currently, Baidu leads the mobile search market in
China with 34.3% market share, compared with 12.3% for Google and 16.9% for
Easou.com.
