London – U.K. digital radio maker Pure has partnered with
7digital to launch a new cloud-based music streaming service called FlowSongs,
Music Ally reported. Set to launch in the U.K. on Monday in beta, the service
will integrate with a Pure digital radio and allow users to identify tracks
played, and then stream from Pure’s servers or download them as MP3s.

FlowSongs
will charge an annual fee of £2.99 ($4.65), while subscribers will pay between £0.79
and £1.29 ($1.23-$2.01) for downloads.

The service will reportedly launch without all the proper licenses, as Beggars Group told Music Ally that 7digital, which
operates white-label download stores, does not hold streaming rights for its
catalog, nor does its download license extend to the Pure store.

A Pure spokesperson says the company "has every intention of
respecting copyright owners’ rights and will not make any content available
without the consent of the copyright owners."
