San Francisco – Google (NASD: GOOG) is testing a Web-based phone service
feature for its Gmail email service that would allow users to place calls from
their inboxes, CNET News.com reported. The interface reportedly resembles
Google Voice, the company’s existing voice service, but does not require that
users have a Google Voice account.
