Los Angeles – Posse.com, an Australia-based service that
lets users operate music and concert ticket stores that earn them commissions,
has raised an undisclosed amount of new funding and relaunched the service,
Music Network reported.

Backers of the company include Artesian Capital; former
Sony Music COO Michael Smellie; Wotif CEO Robbie Cooke; Todd Forest, head of
content at NineMSN; iHug founder Tim Wood; and John Palfreyman of Macquarie
Telecom.

The company has also signed a new deal with major label EMI’s
international unit, which will use Posse to promote its artists.

The service
currently counts some 5,000 users, who have listed some 1,500 events on the
site, and earn between 50 cents and $10 per ticket sold through their
storefronts.
