Los Angeles – Verizon (NYSE: VZ) on Wednesday announced plans to launch
its 4G LTE service in 38 U.S. markets — including Los Angeles, New York,
Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Miami and Chicago — by the end of this year. The
company is also launching 4G LTE in more than 60 airports nationwide. Verizon
said it expects 4G LTE average download speeds of 5-12 Mbps, and uplink speeds
of 2-5 Mbps.
