Mountain View, Calif. – Google (NASD: GOOG) has launched Boost, a new
service that helps local businesses create online search ads from within their
Google Places accounts. The Boost ads can appear in the "Sponsored
Links" section on Google.com and Google Maps search result pages, and
relate information including a company’s name, address, phone number, website, number
of reviews received and average star rating. The service launched in beta in
San Francisco, Houston and Chicago.
